While Polaris™ enters the market as an alternative to TPU, it isn’t TPU—and that’s the point. Polaris™ combines performance characteristics typically found across multiple polymer families: the low density of polyolefins, the toughness and modulus of polyamides, and the elongation of TPU. It also delivers a lower carbon intensity than any of them. For our first production partners, Polaris has proven to be a compelling alternative to incumbent materials. But its versatility goes beyond replacement. Its base formulations provide a flexible foundation that can be tuned and adapted for a wide range of applications—opening the door to materials designed around what’s needed, not what has traditionally been available.
Novel non-isocyanate thermoplastic elastomers and adhesives made from renewable, bio-based feedstocks. Compatible with existing PU/PVC/PA equipment — proven in hot melt coating, film extrusion, and injection molding. Self-adhesive and lower density than many traditional coatings.
