Matereal’s technical team has a deep understanding of scaling and applying our thermoplastic chips as coatings, films, laminations, and via injection molding. Our Head of Engineering brings a proven ability to scale transformative technologies, having previously grown a recycled polyurethane process from lab scale to 3 million pounds per year and successfully exiting. On the product side, our VP of Product’s prior leadership at Patagonia brings a deep understanding of how to integrate new material innovations into the textile supply chain. This unique perspective ensures Polaris™ polymers meet functional, aesthetic, and market demands for truly plug and play solutions. Our Head of Strategy and Software, Blake, has extensive experience scaling early and growth-stage startups with a career that spans leadership roles at Techstars and Rackspace. At Techstars, Blake served as VP of Product & Engineering and as a Managing Director focused on cloud technologies, helping founders bring transformative new products to market.
